This award, presented by City Beat News, specifically focuses on small businesses that provide exceptional service and experiences to their customers. According to the company, this award is part of their mission "to provide voice to the unheralded small businesses that are the foundation of our communities and to find and promote excellence wherever we find it." Through their independent, annual research they award only those companies that achieve their highest ratings.

In order to provide and maintain the highest level of service, Dr. Finlay's office relies on the vast experience of its staff, some of whom have been with the office for 30 years, and continued development through training. In April, the team participated in a day of in-service training with the Scheduling Institute, a premier dental training company.

Dr. Finlay is regularly acknowledged as one of the leading cosmetic and restorative dentists in the country. He has the distinction of being the only American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry designated Accredited Fellow in Anne Arundel County and surrounding counties and one of less than 50 in the entire United States. He was elected to serve on the 7 member American Board of Cosmetic Dentistry for a 3 year term, and continues to serve as an Examiner in the credentialing process for Accreditation, where he serves as a judge and mentor for dentists across the country pursuing credentialing in cosmetic dentistry.

In July Dr. Finlay & Associates will be relaunching their website, annapolisdentistdds.com, to bring their same in-office level of service online. The new site will allow current and prospective patients to learn about the various services offered, find information about their dental concerns, and schedule appointments directly.
