6/21/17

FAIRFAX, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Silent Circle, a pioneer in enterprise-class mobile security, privacy and compliance solutions, today announced the addition of three security leaders to their executive team. Hamilton Turner, Ph.D., will join Silent Circle as Chief Technology Officer; Patrick Geritz, as Vice President of Sales Americas; and Gerald Murphy, as Vice President of Sales International. Following two quarters of the company’s strongest growth yet, these additions will contribute to the mission of transitioning Silent Circle from a consumer product to an enterprise solution that secures unified communications for employees, customers and partners.

“The communications channel within an enterprise is often one of the weakest links when it comes to a targeted cyberattack and, while the industry has changed the way it approaches this problem, there is still more work to be done,” said Gregg Smith, CEO of Silent Circle. “I am very pleased to welcome this esteemed group of industry experts to the Silent Circle team and to continue our work securing the enterprise with trusted communication solutions.”

As CTO, Hamilton Turner will play a critical role in the continued development of the company’s innovative security products and solutions, assuring a frictionless communication experience for employees and executives. Turner is one of the leading authorities on android security and is the initial creator of GhostBox, a technology for securing Android mobile devices in highly sensitive environments. Turner’s doctoral work at Virginia Tech regarding secure mobile cloud systems, and experience as the former Senior Director of Research and Engineering and CTO of OptioLabs, will assist him in further enhancing Silent Circle’s technology.

Newly appointed VP of Sales Americas for Silent Circle, Patrick Geritz, has over 20 years of successful software, hardware and professional services sales experience concentrating on building, developing and growing sales teams for long term growth and repeatable performance metrics. Geritz most recently served as VP of North American Sales for OptioLabs, and was previously the VP of Federal and North American sales at Appistry. In his new role, Gertiz will be responsible for overseeing product delivery to increase sales presence and customer base in the Americas.

Gerald Murphy will lead global business as the VP of Sales International at Silent Circle. Previously, he held the VP International Sales position at OptioLabs, where he addressed the global market of secure communication of mobile devices. Additionally, Murphy has experience as a Lead Subject Matter Expert at Fujitsu U.K. where he focused on U.K. Ministry of Defence (MOD) programs, as well as International Engineering, Program Management and Lead International Sales roles at Harris RF Communications Division.
