Stony Point Fashion Park To Start Next Phase Of $50 Million Renovation

Plans to create two new pedestrian cut-throughs on the west side of Stony Point Fashion Park got the go-ahead from the Richmond Planning Commission on Monday.

The new pedestrian cut-throughs, or openings through the mall, would link the north and south parking lots.

One of the cut-throughs would run adjacent to the CinéBistro dinner-and-movie theater to connect to the north parking lot. The other would extend the current opening running between P.F. Chang’s China Bistro and Brio Tuscan Grille restaurants to the south parking lot near the Talbots store.

The item was on the Planning Commission’s consent agenda — typically reserved for noncontroversial matters — and was approved without discussion.
