DULLES, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Southland Industries, one of the nation's largest MEP building systems experts providing engineering, construction, operations and energy service solutions, recently named James Meacham Mid-Atlantic Division Leader. In his new role, Mr. Meacham will be responsible for overseeing the procurement of work throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, while continuing to manage Southland’s efforts to secure national projects.

Since 2016, Mr. Meacham has served as Division Leader of National Projects in an effort to expand Southland’s footprint on a national scale. By leading both the Mid-Atlantic and National groups, he will now be able to better grow and leverage Southland’s resources, while ensuring projects are successfully executed with in-house engineering and field expertise.

Throughout his career at Southland, Mr. Meacham has earned the respect of his peers and has always worked to keep his teams motivated. Spanning several different functional groups across the organization, his experience includes guiding project teams to operate efficiently using the right information, scope, and best sequencing and planning. He has developed a reputation for always pushing the envelope and looking for learning opportunities, adequately preparing for project challenges, and collaborating with foremen and engineers.

Mr. Meacham received his bachelor’s and master's degrees in architectural engineering from Penn State University. He is actively involved in ASHRAE and the Lean Construction Institute. Mr. Meacham has been a member of Southland's Executive Committee since 2016.
