Stateside Associates announced today that Kiley Smith is joining its growing State and Local Government Issue Management practice as Senior Political Consultant. Kiley most recently served as Executive Director of the Republican Legislative Campaign Committee (RLCC), the national organization dedicated exclusively to electing more Republicans to state legislatures and the largest caucus within the Republican State Leadership Committee (RSLC).

Kiley will work closely with Stateside's Issue Management team, planning and supporting state advocacy efforts on behalf of Stateside's clients, helping its clients navigate the policy- and political-oriented state and local officials Groups, and leading business development efforts. In addition, she will continue developing her political consulting practice which she began shortly after leaving the RLCC.

During her four years at the RLCC, Kiley helped her team flip 10 legislative chambers to Republican control, raising and spending a record $40 million in the 2014 cycle. And while leading the organization, she and her team worked to protect an all-time high number of Republican legislative majorities, retaining 69 of 99 state legislative chambers during the 2016 cycle.

Kiley has also held professional positions with the Republican National Committee (RNC), the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Republican Governors Association (RGA).

A Washington State native, Kiley grew up in the small town of Gig Harbor and is a graduate of Washington State University. After working on the 2008 Dino Rossi for Governor campaign in her home state, she moved to Washington, D.C. where she currently resides. Kiley can be reached at kds@stateside.com.
