Calvert Hall made a strong case for consideration as the nation's top boys' lacrosse team.
The Cardinals went undefeated in the Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association "A" conference -- widely regarded as the deepest and most talented high school league in the country. Calvert Hall (17-2) capped its stellar season with a 12-6 victory against defending champion McDonogh in the title game at Johns Hopkins May 25.
"I just think this is really one of the top teams in the country, if not the best," Calvert Hall head coach Bryan Kelly said. "I think we're really that good."
