Blankingship & Keith, P.C. has welcomed Wesley D. Allen to its Education Law and Litigation practice as an associate. His practice focuses on civil litigation with an emphasis on education matters.

“Wesley’s experience as both a commercial litigator and university administrator makes him a real asset to the firm,” said William B. Allen has several years of insurance defense experience, representing both corporate and individual clients in civil matters in state and federal courts throughout the Commonwealth and in the District of Columbia. His experience as an administrator at Rowan University provides him a unique insight as a former practitioner within a complex educational institution, which greatly benefits his current practice.

Allen has been an active member of the Fairfax Bar Association, Prince William County Bar Association and Virginia Association of Defense Attorneys (VADA). He served on the Young Lawyers Section’s board of directors of the Fairfax Bar Association, and has chaired the Automobile and Transportation Liability Section of the VADA.

Before joining Blankingship & Keith, Allen graduated with a master of education from Harvard University, where he focused on the management, governance and leadership of education administration. He earned his law degree from the William & Mary School of Law, where he served as managing editor of the William & Mary Journal of Women and the Law.  He completed a clerkship with the Honorable Mary Grace O’Brien during her tenure on the Prince William County Circuit Court bench. Super Lawyers Magazine has named Allen a “Rising Star.”
