About Continuing Medical Education

The $2.65 billion dollar continuing medical education (CME) industry traditionally consisted of educational activities that maintained, developed or increased the clinical knowledge of physicians use in providing care for their patients. Traditional activities included live events, written publications, and audio and video recordings. But studies demonstrate these methods to be ineffective, and that physicians are challenged to translate retained knowledge into practice.
