Maryland forward Justin Jackson will return to school for his sophomore season after testing the NBA Draft waters this spring, the Terps announced May 24.

"I'm excited to return for my sophomore year at Maryland and look forward to building upon the success we had last season," Jackson said in a news release. "The experience that I had participating in the NBA Scouting Combine will be beneficial in my long-term development. I can't wait to get back to College Park and begin workouts with my teammates this summer."

Jackson was one of three freshmen during the 2016-17 season to average significant minutes, along with guards Kevin Huerter and Anthony Cowan. With all three back in the fold, the Terps will have an opportunity to return to the NCAA Tournament for the fourth consecutive season, after missing the tournament the three years prior. The trio combined for 30.1 points per game last year and will be counted on even more due to the exit of guard Melo Trimble for the NBA.
