Last week I wrote about three teams that had productive weeks -- the Texas Rangers, Toronto Blue Jays and Kansas City Royals -- who all went 6-1 and looked to have turned their seasons around. The Rangers carried their momentum by going 5-1 this week; the Blue Jays gave most of it back by going 2-5; and the Royals also seemed to move closer to rebuilding mode with a 2-4 mark.
This week, let's look at the two teams who squared off in the 2016 World Series: the No. 6 Cleveland Indians, who swept the first-place Astros this past weekend in Houston to move up one spot; and the World Series champion Chicago Cubs, who move up two spots to No. 7 based on a 4-1 mark.
Both teams have been zombie-walking through the first six weeks of the season. And while it's hard to flip a switch in the major leagues, where there are so many teams of equal ability, both the Indians and the Cubs did just that this past week.
