Fantasy Baseball Waiver-Wire Watch: May 12, 2017

It was another wild week in fantasy baseball, and I'm still waiting for the season to settle in. However, injuries and multiple teams changing closers has caused fantasy owners to react and adjust their rosters. The good news is if you're an owner behind in the saves department, this is a critical week to improve your team and get a boost in that category.

Waiver-Wire Targets:

New York Mets Reliever Addison Reed -- The Mets just placed their closer, Jeurys Familia, on the disabled list with an arterial clot in his right shoulder, which opens up the door for Reed to take over the ninth inning. Reed, 28, was effective in that role earlier this season while Familia was serving a suspension. The right-hander has pitched to a 3.00 ERA with a 0.89 WHIP to go along with four saves. Reed will be the most popular add this week, and due to his role earlier in the season, he may already be owned. However, if he is on your waiver wire, expect to spend a lot of your budget on him.
