Rebecca McDougall: “Deft Management of Portfolios” According to 2017 World Trademark Review List

5/10/17

Miles & Stockbridge P.C. is pleased to announce that Washington, D.C., trademark lawyer Rebecca E. McDougall has been named a leading trademark professional for the second year in a row on the World Trademark Review’s annual list, the  WTR 1000.

McDougall is a seasoned trademark lawyer who represents domestic and international businesses of every shape and size, from the most cutting-edge start-ups to established brands and products. She has extensive experience managing global trademark portfolios, assisting with global brand selection, registration, enforcement and—when necessary—litigation in federal courts and the U.S. Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.

The 2017 WTR 1000 says McDougall “wins plaudits for her deft management of portfolios” and cites her ability to complete prosecution matters “efficaciously with the backing of a strong international network.” This year’s publication features more than 90 country- and U.S. state-specific chapters identifying the world’s leading trademark legal services providers. The extensive research process was conducted over a four-month period and involved hundreds of face-to-face and telephone interviews with trademark specialists across the globe.

In addition to the World Trademark Review recognition, McDougall also was recently appointed an officer of the International Bar Association, the world's leading organization of international legal practitioners, bar associations and law societies. She will serve a two-year term as vice chair of IBA’s trademark law subcommittee.
