Fantasy Baseball Risers, Fallers: May 1, 2017

We have finally flipped the calendar to May, and we are settling in for the long fantasy baseball season. I hope everyone is off to a strong start, but all it takes is a good week, sometimes just a good day, to get you back where you want to be.

Three Up:

1. Arizona Diamondbacks Starting Pitcher Zack Greinke -- Entering the season, I touted the 33-year-old as a bounce-back candidate, as I believed there were points in 2016 that the right-hander showed signs of being the pitcher he has always been. However, his overall numbers were not what fantasy owners were hoping for when they invested in him prior to the season. But to start 2017, Greinke is looking like the pitcher he has been through much of his career, racking up 40 strikeouts through his first six starts, 20 of which have come during the past week in two starts. Greinke has a 3.19 ERA, and I think that's what fantasy owners should expect moving forward -- along with the ability to rack up strikeouts.
