4/23/17

Prominent trial attorneys Carlos E. Moore and Charles Tucker, Jr. are pleased to announce the successful merger of their law firms to form Tucker Moore Group, LLP, a plaintiff’s law firm with an expanded footprint across the South and the East Coast. Moore, Managing Partner, said, “the firm hopes to open additional offices in markets across the nation to give their clients greater access to outstanding legal representation.”

“We are a firm with big city talent and small town values,” said Moore. “Charles and I are committed to lifting our respective communities and inspiring the next generation of lawyers. We realized, since the death of legal legend Johnnie Cochran, that there has not been a large-scale progressive black-owned firm with national reach that both the ‘Common Joe’ and the most sophisticated man or woman could turn to for top-notch legal services. We are attempting to fill that void.”

Tucker Moore’s practice groups include criminal defense, bankruptcy, personal injury, wrongful death, mass torts/class action, and employment discrimination. Among its high-profile cases, Moore will soon request a writ of cert to present arguments to the U.S. Supreme Court in an attempt to remove the Confederate emblem from the Mississippi flag. Recently, the attorneys won several multi-million dollar cases for their clients, including:

·       $12 million verdict for a 20-year-old man who was paralyzed after being shot by a stray bullet fired by a nightclub security guard.

·       $4 million judgment for a man who was tortured and left for dead on a private property.

·       $1.5 million settlement for a client who was shot and severely injured at a convenience store.

·       $1.5 million settlement in an offshore injury case involving the Maritime/Jones Act.
