The 2017 edition of Virginia Super Lawyers magazine has honored attorneys Robert E. Scully, Jr., and Michael K. Kim of the Alexandria, Va., office of Stites & Harbison, PLLC.  Scully has been recognized 12 consecutive years on the Super Lawyers list for Business Litigation.  This is Kim’s fifth time on the Rising Stars list.

Super Lawyers is a Thomson Reuters rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.  The annual selections are made using a rigorous process, including a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates and peer reviews by practice area.  Only 5% of the lawyers in each state or region are named to the Super Lawyers list and no more than 2.5% are named to the Rising Stars list.  Super Lawyers identifies Rising Stars as those attorneys, 40 years old or younger, or those having made exceptional contributions in a particular practice area for 10 years or less. 

Scully is a Member (Partner) of Stites & Harbison. Working within the Business Litigation, Construction and Torts & Insurance Practice Service Groups, his practice focuses on business tort, corporate governance, trusts and estates, construction, and intellectual property litigation.  Scully has more than 35 years of trial experience before federal and state courts of Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia. 

Kim is also a Member (Partner) of Stites & Harbison in the Business Litigation Service Group.  His practice encompasses a wide range of complex business and commercial litigation matters, including contract disputes, products liability, including pharmaceutical litigation, business torts, corporate governance and control matters, shareholder disputes and derivative actions, fiduciary duty litigation, trade secrets litigation, class actions, and intellectual property litigation.  He is admitted to practice in Virginia and Kentucky.
