Fantasy Baseball Waiver-Wire Targets: April 14, 2017

Injuries involving players who are expected to have a big fantasy impact have been an issue early in the 2017 season. Washington Nationals infielder Trea Turner, New York Yankees catcher Gary Sanchez and Seattle Mariners infielder Jean Segura have all gotten hurt. It's never ideal when an important player goes down, but at least it's early in the season, and there is still time for them to return and contribute like fantasy owners hoped.

Waiver-Wire Targets:

New York Yankees Outfielder Aaron Judge -- For fantasy leagues where waivers process on Sundays, this will officially be the last chance to acquire the young slugger. For those with daily-transaction leagues, Judge may already be gone, depending on the size of the league. The 24-year-old is a physical specimen and can hit the baseball a mile. He will also strike out a ton, but right now, the outfielder has slugged three home runs and has a strong .276 average. The hope is when Judge slumps, the Yankees continue to start him every day. It may be aggressive to suggest Judge will hit 30 home runs this season, but he will definitely provide power for fantasy owners.
