Terps guard Jaylen Brantley will transfer from Maryland and seek a larger role at a different school for his senior season, the Terps announced April 10.

Brantley was a valuable piece off the bench for Maryland head coach Mark Turgeon this year. He played in all 32 games, averaging 16.8 minutes, 4.9 points and 1.9 rebounds. He also shot 38.6 percent from 3-point range, a skill Maryland was looking for out of Brantley when the team recruited him.

Brantley plans to graduate from Maryland this summer with a degree in American studies and be eligible for the 2017-18 season.
