Indiana's Culver Academy Runs Past Maryland, D.C. Powers

Culver Academy of Indiana flexed its muscle as a national power with wins against some of the top programs in Baltimore and Washington, D.C.

The Eagles, who are ranked fourth in the Nike/US Lacrosse high school boys' top 25, cruised past Gonzaga, 13-6, March 28. Culver Academy then handed top-ranked McDonogh its first loss of the season the following day with a 12-9 win. The Eagles then ran past St. Paul's, 17-6, March 31.

"I thought Culver was excellent," McDonogh head coach Andy Hilgartner said. "Their attack was good and played well off the mids. It was tough to break them down at their defensive end of the field."
