Maryland men's basketball star junior guard Melo Trimble announced March 29 that he will forgo his senior season and declare for the NBA Draft.
Trimble, an Upper Marlboro, Md., native, was a three-time All-Big Ten Selection and led the Terps to the NCAA Tournament during each of his three seasons with the team.
"I am confident and excited to pursue an opportunity to play in the NBA," Trimble said in a statement released by the university. "I am proud of what my teammates and I were able to accomplish these past three seasons at Maryland. I developed many great relationships and friendships, and together we [were] able to create some very special moments for Maryland basketball.
