BluVector Names Christopher Burnham To Its Board of Directors

ARLINGTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--BluVector, the leader in applying supervised machine learning to detect and respond to advanced security threats at digital speed, today announced that Christopher Burnham, chairman and CEO of Cambridge Global Capital, has joined its board of directors. Mr. Burnham brings decades of experience leading global financial operations in both the private and public sector. Most recently, Mr. Burnham was a member of Donald Trump’s presidential transition team. He joins BluVector as the company continues on its trajectory of accelerated growth and acquisition.

Currently, Mr. Burnham is the chairman and CEO of Cambridge Global Capital, LLC, a merchant bank he co-founded in 2013. From 2006 through 2012, Mr. Burnham was vice chairman and managing director of Deutsche Asset Management (DeAM). In 2008, he co-founded Deutsche Bank’s direct private equity group, RREEF Capital Partners. Prior to joining Deutsche Bank, Mr. Burnham served as Under Secretary General of the United Nations for Management, the “chief operating officer” of the United Nations (U.N.). Appointed by Kofi Annan in June 2005, Mr. Burnham was the highest-ranking American in the United Nations Secretariat.

Within one year of his appointment, Burnham led in the creation of a new United Nations Ethics Office, the creation of a United Nations Independent Audit Advisory Committee, the adoption of new International Public Sector Accounting Standards, and he created and produced the first comprehensive consolidated annual report in the history of the U.N. In addition, he implemented a new whistleblower protection policy which has received independent recognition as the “gold standard” of such policies, and he led the reform of new financial disclosure reporting by senior U.N. officials and staff, based on the U.S. government model.

Mr. Burnham joined the U.N. after serving as acting Under Secretary of State for Management, for Secretary Condoleezza Rice, and as Assistant Secretary of State for Resource Management and chief financial officer of the State Department, for Secretary Colin Powell. Mr. Burnham joined the Department of State in September 2001.
