Lynn Fischer Fox Joins Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer as Counsel

Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer LLP announced today that Lynn Fischer Fox, former Deputy Assistant Secretary for Policy and Negotiations in the International Trade Administration at the US Department of Commerce, has joined the firm’s International Trade practice as counsel, resident in Washington, DC.

Ms. Fischer Fox spent nearly five years in the International Trade Administration at the US Department of Commerce. During her tenure, she coordinated the formulation and implementation of policies governing the administration of antidumping and countervailing duty laws in the US and led settlement negotiations for multiple high-profile trade remedy disputes. Ms. Fischer Fox also oversaw the Department’s efforts to develop trade rules and disciplines that create a level global playing field for US enterprises. She led a team monitoring foreign government compliance with bilateral and multilateral agreements, and advocated on behalf of US industries with foreign governments, to ensure that companies received the benefits of international trade and investment agreements. She also coordinated efforts on trade remedy negotiations in the World Trade Organization and in bilateral and multilateral agreements.

Earlier in her career, Ms. Fischer Fox spent more than a decade in private practice litigating trade remedy issues before US agencies and courts, as well as advising clients on a variety of other international trade matters. She also worked as an Energy & Climate Policy Officer at the Commission for Environmental Cooperation and as a Trade and Environment Specialist with the Natural Resources Defense Council.

Ms. Fischer Fox earned her JD from Stanford Law School, where she was a member of The Stanford Law Review and an executive editor of the Stanford Journal of International Law. She received her BA from American University.
