Teva Pharmaceuticals Will Sell Or Close Forest Plant By 2020

Teva Pharmaceuticals announced plans Wednesday to halt the majority of its production in the Lynchburg area by 2020.

According to a statement from Denise Bradley, senior vice president of corporate reputation, the company wants to sell its Forest plant to another firm that would continue operations and keep the jobs.

“Our preference is to sell the plant, and to that end we are in the process of asking local, state and federal officials for their assistance in identifying a buyer for the site,” Bradley said in an email to The News & Advance.
