How can the World Baseball Classic be fixed? Better yet, is it worth fixing?
Some have even wondered if it's worth "saving."
I'm not sure anyone has a formulated answer for the first question, but I'm comfortable with a positive reaction to the second. There's a lot Major League Baseball commissioner Rob Manfred has done to stir up the establishment, and much to disagree with, but there isn't a sound reason to oppose his unapologetic promotion of the game's global effort.
