Ben Schryber, an experienced credit fundraiser and product specialist, joined Carlyle last week. Ben is a Managing Director, based in New York, where he will lead credit sales and business development efforts globally, a new positionreporting to Mark Jenkins, head of Global Credit and Mike Arpey, Head of Investor Relations. Ben was most recently Global Head of Credit at placement agent First Avenue Partners, where he spent the past four years leading origination and distribution of all credit funds. Prior to First Avenue, he led private credit fund due diligence at Albourne Partners, and before that worked in management consulting, most recently at Blue Ridge Partners, where he was focused on company-level due diligence for private equity clients.

Carlyle’s global credit platform resides within the Global Market Strategies segment, which had $34 billion in assets under management as of September 30, 2016, and has investment professionals in New York, Washington, DC, Los Angeles, Chicago, Hong Kong and London. Carlyle recently announced that Craig J. Farr, former Head of KKR Credit Advisors (US) LLC, has been retained as a Senior Advisor consultant with the Global Credit group.
