Junior Achievement of Central Maryland Adds Shannon Landwehr to its Board of Directors

Junior Achievement of Central Maryland Inc. (JA), a non-profit organization dedicated to educating young people to succeed in an ever-changing economy, has named Shannon Landwehr to its board of directors.

Landwehr is currently president and chief executive officer at the Economic Alliance of Greater Baltimore (EAGB), where she works in partnership with regional businesses, government officials and higher education leaders to identify talent and workforce recruitment, foster business development opportunities, and create jobs and new investments through the Greater Baltimore Region. Landwehr has worked her way from Executive Vice President to President and CEO of the economic development organization.

“Shannon is a highly regarded and connected Baltimore professional and a wonderful asset to our board of directors,” said Kim Fabian, Senior Vice President of Junior Achievement of Central Maryland. “We are looking forward to watching the impact she makes on Junior Achievement and its goals.”

Prior to joining EAGB, Landwehr worked at Morgan Stanley for almost five years, operating under various roles including Executive Director, Baltimore General Manager, and Global Client Relationship Manager and Chief Operating Officer in Morgan Stanley’s Workforce Strategy Division. During her time at Morgan Stanley, Landwehr managed several clients in multiple industries, including operations, finance, legal and compliance, human resources, corporate services, technology and data, research, sales and trading and bank resource management.

Before joining Morgan Stanley, Shannon was also Chief Operating Officer at the EABG, where she also served as the Director of Marketing and Research. Landwehr has over 5 years of experience in non-profits, finance, marketing and consulting, and has had held other positions with TischlerBise, Mercer Human Resource Consulting, WorldCom and Commercial Real Estate firms.

Actively involved in the Greater Baltimore area and Mid-Atlantic regions, Landwehr has volunteered in programs with a focus on children and animals. She is also Executive Director for the EAGB Foundation.

Landwehr received her Master of Arts degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign and her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and Finance from the University of Arizona, Eller College of Management.
