Maryland Basketball Drops Out Of AP Top 25, USA Today Coaches Poll

The University of Maryland men's basketball team has fallen out of the top 25 in the latest USA Today Coaches Poll and AP poll, released Feb. 27.

Last week, Maryland was ranked No. 24 in both polls. Kansas (26-3) takes over the top spot in both polls, followed by Villanova (27-3) in the AP poll and UCLA (26-3) in the USA Today Coaches Poll.

Maryland is now 22-7 on the season, with a 10-6 record in Big Ten play. During the past week, the Terps lost to Minnesota, 89-75, Feb. 22, and fell to Iowa, 83-69, Feb. 25. The Terps have lost their last three in a row, with two games remaining before the Big Ten Tournament.
