On January 26th, Offit Kurman Labor and Employment attorneys Laura Rubenstein and Gregory Currey spoke at the Frederick County SHRM’s first session in 2017. Mrs. Rubenstein and Mr. Currey presented, “Hot Trends in the Workplace: How to Implement Employment Policies Without Sacrificing Workplace Culture,” to the Frederick County SHRM members at the Dutch’s Daughter Restaurant in Frederick, MD.

The “Hot Trends in the Workplace” presentation focused on different employment policies that businesses are implementing in their workplaces, such as unlimited paid time off and teleworking. Mrs. Rubenstein and Mr. Currey discussed the pros and cons with each “trendy” employment policy, regarding both the law and employee retention.
