IDEA Announces Strategic Alliance with Liaison Technologies

11/3/16

The Industry Data Exchange Association, Inc. (IDEA) announces its strategic alliance with Liaison Technologies, an industry-recognized leader in cloud-based integration and data management offerings.

IDEA has selected Liaison's Exchange Network platform to power the next-generation Industry Data Exchange (IDX). The platform will be used to facilitate electronic data interchange (EDI) and other business-to-business (B2B) integration activities.

"IDEA chose Liaison Technologies as our partner in offering our customers an enhanced platform due to Liaison's impressive Tier 1-level Value-Added Network support, responsiveness, and expansive international network," said Paul Molitor, President and CEO, IDEA. "Liaison takes an innovative approach to B2B integration, and we're confident that this upgrade to our IDX platform will provide our customers with a competitive edge utilizing the latest EDI technology for better, more confident decision-making."

Liaison's ALLOY™ Platform - featuring any-to-any translation, world-class mapping software, and the ability to handle disparate data sources and formats - will drive IDEA's integration and managed services. Liaison's LENS Business Activity Monitoring (BAM) tool will also be incorporated into IDEA's B2B service offerings, allowing IDEA to provide a configurable interface that permits users to set filters, create graphic dashboards, and attain metrics customized to their own preferences.

Through this alliance, IDEA's customers will gain access to Liaison's US-based support team, which boasts more than fifteen years' experience across multiple channels. Users will also benefit from Liaison's recent multimillion dollar investment in ALLOY's innovative microservices-based architecture, and native support for other patterns of integration in addition to EDI and B2B integration.

"Liaison has long been committed to incorporating the latest standards, communications protocols, and technologies into its ever-evolving cloud integration platform," said Rob Consoli, Chief Revenue Officer, Liaison Technologies. "IDEA's similar, unwavering commitment to elevating data exchange among trading partners across the electrical industry is in perfect alignment, making our alliance a win-win-win for Liaison, IDEA, and its customers."
