Associa's Community Group Golf Tourney Raises $18K for Families in Need

GLEN ALLEN, Va., Oct. 31, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Community Group, an Associa company, recently partnered with Associa Cares, the philanthropic arm of Associa, to raise more than $18,000 in support of those impacted by natural or man-made disasters.

Board members, homeowners and vendors combined efforts to participate in Community Group's first Associa Cares Golf Tournament on September 29 at the Hunting Hawk Golf Course in Glen Allen, Virginia. The dollars raised through sponsorships and donations go directly to Associa Cares, which provides relief funds to families across the country that are in need of assistance following a catastrophe at home such as a flood, fire or tornado.

"We have great vendors who supported our cause," said Community Group President Scott Meardon. "It would not have been possible without the time, effort and coordination of our talented staff members. Even with their busy daily agendas they made time to do this in support of those who have suffered a loss, their hearts are really in the right place."
