Strategy and Management Services Awarded VA KBS Contract

Strategy and Management Services, Inc. (SAMS) has been awarded a one year contract with two option years with the Department of Veterans Affairs in the Office of Informatics and Analytics, Knowledge Based Systems (KBS). KBS is a National Program Office created to enhance Veterans Health Administration (VHA) health and health care delivery by ensuring that clinicians, staff, patients and others have correct, timely and useful knowledge and information for optimal action at the right time. The Award allows SAMS to expand its support to VHA and veterans on a broad scale, consistent with SAMS’ commitment to those who have served our country.  

“We are thrilled about this contract win and will execute to exceed expectations and deliver high-quality solutions to VA,” says Terrie McConnell, Project Management Office Lead at SAMS. SAMS is partnering with Pivotal Insight, LLC to provide program management and administrative support services to infuse clinical informatics expertise into VHA healthcare, education, and research efforts. The objective is to leverage information and knowledge through KBS programs and activities across program areas, including informatics education and architecture, and healthcare standards and interoperability.
