The Dow Jones Industrial Average finished unchanged, the NASDAQ was up 0.7%, and the S&P 500 finished up 0.1%. Washington DC's more noticeable stocks saw little change despite a good day for the market.

Biggest Gainer
In Washington DC, Thursday's biggest gainer, Carmax Group (NYSE:KMX), rose 1.6% to close at $30.41. Changing hands at 0.6 times its three-month average, the stock traded on volume of 1.3 million. Rising 1.6% to close at $118.26 on volume of 73,559, Strayer Education Inc. (NASDAQ:STRA) also finished strong.

Biggest Loser
Thursday's top loser was Opnet Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ:OPNT), closing at $30.34 (-5.6%). With volume of 799,504, the stock changed hands at two times its average over the past three months. The runner up loser was General Dynamics Corporation (NYSE:GD), finishing the day at $70.85 (-1%) on volume of 1.6 million.
