AOBA Announces 2012 Leadership

Washington, DC - At its Annual Meeting on Jan. 26th, the Apartment and Office Building Association of Metropolitan Washington introduced the organization's 2012 Board of Directors and Advisory Council. These local real estate industry executives will guide the Association's policies and programs for the year.

The Association installed F. Carlton Diehl, Director of Property Management at Moore & Associates, as 2012 President. A real estate executive with more than 20 years experience in the Washington area market, Mr. Diehl began his career at Charles E. Smith Residential in 1989. By 2002, he had worked his way up to Vice President of Vornado/Charles E. Smith, managing a portfolio of more than nine million square feet of office, retail and residential properties. In 2006, Carlton moved to the Cafritz Company as Vice President and then served as the company's President for nearly three years. He joined Moore & Associates, based in Bethesda, in September of 2011 and is responsible for property management operations in the Washington metro area.

In addition to Diehl, the following individuals were elected to the Board of Directors:

Also at the Annual Meeting, the organization installed the members of its active 2012 Associates Coalition Team (ACT). Michael Vito, VITO Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning, was honored as the 2011 Outstanding Associate Member, and he will serve as 2012 ACT Chair. ##
