WASHINGTON, D.C., - Boutique technology law firm ZwillGen PLLC is pleased to announce that Randy V. Sabett, J.D., CISSP, the former co-chair of the Internet and Data Protection practice at SNR Denton, has joined the firm's Washington, D.C. office.
Marc Zwillinger, the Managing Member of ZwillGen PLLC and a former SNR Denton partner, said he was thrilled to be once again working with Randy. "Randy is one of the nation's premier Internet lawyers. His strong information security background combined with his IP licensing and technology transactional experience will undoubtedly make him a valuable asset to the firm and our clients."
For his part, Randy has watched ZwillGen's growth with interest since its formation and felt it was time to make the move. "ZwillGen has proven that there is a strong appetite for a specialized boutique law firm made up of bright, energetic lawyers with solid tech backgrounds where alternative billing arrangements are the norm. I'm pleased to be a part of a firm that delivers legal services in new and innovative ways."
In his practice, Randy regularly counsels clients on information security, privacy, IT licensing, digital and electronic signatures, federated identity, state and federal information security and privacy laws, identity theft, and security breaches. Along with Marc Zwillinger, Randy served as a commissioner for the Commission on Cyber Security for the 44th Presidency. He has been recognized as a leader in privacy and data security in the 2007 - 2011 editions of Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business. He also drafts and negotiates a wide variety of technology transaction agreements, including software licenses, OEM agreements, ASP agreements, and technology development and licensing agreements.
When ZwillGen was founded as Zwillinger Genetski LLP in March 2010, it had four lawyers in Washington, D.C. Despite last month's departure of co-founder Christian Genetski to become General Counsel of the Entertainment Software Association, the firm now has eight lawyers in three cities and is continuing to recruit talented lawyers to join its ranks.
ZwillGen lawyers have investigated, litigated and counseled on a wide range of Internet issues including cybercrime, information security, privacy, authentication and identity, surveillance, subpoena compliance, online marketing, behavioral advertising, Internet gambling, satellite and videogame piracy, intellectual property theft, and more.
