MIDDLEBURG, Va. -- Pong Research Corp. has closed a $5 million share offering, raising the amount from a single investor.
Principals named in the filing by the Middleburg, Va.-based maker of devices to redirect radiation from cell phones are:
· CEO Shannon Kennedy;
· CFO Scott Andrews;
· President and COO Kevin Passarello;
· Chairman James Treptow, who serves as a director at Middleburg Financial Inc.;
· , from Greenwich, Conn.-based Catterton Partners;
· Julian Mack; from Catterton Partners
· Christopher Casgar, from Catterton Partners.
Pong produces cellular phone devices that redirect radiation away thereby protecting users. It makes such devices for a variety of phones including iPhones and BlackBerries.
Pong was founded by an international team of scientists with expertise in plasma physics, environmental science, electrical engineering, antenna design, and health sciences.

Mr. Mack is a Senior Partner of Catterton Partners. He has a broad range of experience in consulting, investing, and management. Previously, Mr. Mack served clients at McKinsey & Company for 22 years, where he held a variety of senior roles, including serving as the Managing Director of the Firm's five Midwestern offices and as the leader of the Telecom and Advanced Industries Practices. He also served on the Management Committee of Bridgewater Associates, a leading global hedge fund. Prior to business school, Julian held a variety of managerial roles at Mark Controls Corporation in Europe.

Christopher Casgar
Mr. Casgar is a Vice President at Catterton Partners. Prior to joining Catterton, Mr. Casgar was a Vice President at Ahold, a leading global retailer, where he led a US business transformation program spanning marketing, merchandising, store operations, and supply chain departments. He also led a global technology organization and built Ahold USA's Solution Center. Prior to Ahold, Mr. Casgar worked at a number of Boston-based consulting firms focusing on global assignments in supply chain, retail, finance, manufacturing and business process optimization.
Mr. Casgar graduated from Cornell University's College of Engineering with a degree in Operations Research and received an M.B.A. with Honors from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School, where he was a Palmer Scholar.
